Hello all. I just picked up a reef savvy 24x24x24 starphire 3/4 inch glass rimless tank. This will be my first rimless and I'm still fairly new to the hobby. What lights would be recommended for this tank?

What rock are you using now?

I was thinking about bare bottom also, as all the tanks in the past have been so for me. However, I may think about putting in a thin layer to appease the general public.

Very innovative aquascaping. Good job!
Bare bottom looks good since your setup is a cube and going bare bottom will really highlight your unique aquascape.
