And we are going to trust him with the NORA frag tank, OMG!

:D just joking

Its just fish we have to worry about. ;)

We're joking around dwayne. Everyone will lose a fish every once in awhile. You can't linger over the fact that one of your fish died forever.

Forever? He didn't even get 24 hours of grieving.

And you are too young to understand that I am joking around

I guess I really can't say much. I have killed:

3 clowns
1 kole tang
1 royal gramma
1 blenny (sick when I bought it)
1 blue striped mushroom
1 cleaner shrimp
1 colony of zoa's

BTW... I found out why my zoa's died. I used some plumbers putty in my DIY skimmer. Then, after a couple months I read the package of putty. It contains fungazide (spelling?). DOH!

Sorry Dwayne. No offense was meant.

Fred

I went fish after fish before I found RC and other SW fish sites.

1- percula ( unknown )
2- 4-striped damsels ( told by psp to cycle the tank with them )
1- Royal gramma ( Didn't know at this point you had to let your tank cycle )
1- yellow tang ( PSP told me, sure you can keep a few tangs in a 36 gallon tank )
1- blue tang ( same reason as above )
1- Panther ( PSP- sure this is a great friendly fish that doesn't get large )
2- lions ( one had a skin disease and my tank started to crash so I lost the other one )
1- kole ( skin disease to. Diseases in the tank were a reason why the tank was crashing )

Then 2 anemones.... PSP told me they don't need much lighting at all.

Man am I glad a found these sites.

And you were knocking me? I have lost a total of 4 fish. Only one (scooter) wasn't already sick when I got it. Oh and 1 jumped.

I told my wife I am just going to stick with Chromis. They are about the only things hardy enough for me.

I will get it squared away at some point, but I am a little leary about throwing anymore money into fish...

Chromis work for me as well. Simple and easy to care for $5 fish. This trigger would be the most I would have ever spent on a fish so hopefully everything goes well. Maybe ill qt him for an extended time.Qting my fish has helped greatly.

These are the fish I have qted:

1- tomato clownfish ( Ive had her for over 1.5 years )
2- True perculas ( alive and doing great )
1- Royal gramma ( alive and well )
4- green chromis ( alive and well )
1- Devil damsel ( alive and well )

I think im finding out if I qt my fish, they live. All the fish I haven't qted have died. Except for the 2 chromis in the 36.

Quarantine has nothing to do with how long the fish lives. You quarantine them to make sure you do not introduce a disease that they already have. By looking at your record of keeping fish alive (12 dead), you may want to hold off on that trigger until your tank is good and mature.
