Came home from work to find my CBB wrapped up around my Seio powerhead. We've had him 7-8 months. This is the 1st major loss of the tank :(

Ate this morning & full of life. No visible marks on him. Very odd. The rest of the Livestock is fine. Hopefully it will not affect the tank much. I do not plan on doing a water change till this weekend.

I will have my eyes open at Eddie's for another excellent specimen! Hope to have better luck with the next.

Yeah, that sucks. My copperband is my favorite fish. He is also my second CCB as the first didn't last more that a month. I think the dreaded white pimples did him in.

wow dude, that sucks...... I hope that I didn't start an epidemic.....

Hope the rest of your livestock continues to do well.

that sucks Kris, sorry for your loss. I am thinking about picking one up after the holidays, just moved my tank (which Sucks), and letting everything settle in. Do you think you will attempt one again? what were you feeding him? I'm sure you heard, but they are considered really difficult to keep, but once they get feeding there not so bad.

It really took me by surprise. Very competitive @ feedings. Healthy looking and didn't seem starved in anyway.

His fav food was mysis. Out of all the things I feed that's pretty much the only this I seem to recall him ever eating. I thought I was in the clear with this fish. Goes to show you!

I most certainly will get another one;) By far one of the most prized fish I have/had. :( I don't know what to make of it. Just have to cough it up as huh & move on. I like challenging livestock as I'm usually pretty good at meeting their needs. Well, at least until they out grow my setups.

Sorry to hear that that does bite the big one, very cute fish......

im sorry to hear they are one of the more higher coral mortality rate in the fish world, they dont really survive good, they need a ton of food and worms,....

use to have thousands of feather dusters in my sump and i meen thousands.........and use to feed it to him like cand, and all my Aptasia too he loved them just hard to keep, i had one yrs ago, but dont think i would buy another one unless my system is 5-6 yrs old needs a very matuer system to live.......

peace
mike

i have read a couple of threads on the CBB. I heard Little Neck Clams are excellent to feed them. These would allow him to pick at it all the time. From what i read once they get feeding, as long as you feed them a lot, they should thrive.
