Ritteri anemones

Hi

I know Ritteris are hard to ship but Saltwaterfish.com have them frequently and i have been told they have been good shippers due to the fact that they are handled properly and shipped properly. In anycase what i want to know is who on this forum have ordered ritteri from them recently and what is your success rate?

your input is greatly appreciated

I think you will find that saltwaterfish.com has a pretty bad reputation among anemone keepers. They sell some seriously bleached animals. They've even been known to carry anemones that have been dyed. If I were you, I'd hang on to my money until someone like the Divers Den has a magnifica. Your odds of success would be much greater, IMHO.

Heck, they even list them that way.

"Sebae Anemone - White"

ok thanks i have some credit from them and thought i would just buy it using the credit. but i end up with corals i guess as they are much harder than anemones.

I seen that too.I asked one time if they sell dyed animals and this is what he/she told me "We do not carrie dyed animals,I told my boss that if we are to sell dyed animals they can sell them with out me."He/she also told me that "the only time we have ever sold dyed animals is when they come in not on intention, and we had the intentions of not selling them but some how they did."

Wow, I didn't see that.

I have to assume that the people that run that place are smart enough to know what they are selling (( at least I hope that they are )). So that would mean that they are doing this on purpose, and don't seem to care that they could be deceiving people that might not know better.

I have to agree. They know exactly what they are doing. How else are they going to get people to pay 85+ shipping for an anemone that's ill? I personally can't do business with a company that's willing to, openly, and deliberately, deceive people like that.:sad2:

:lmao: So.... He/she won't work for them if they sell dyed anemones, but, they did sell dyed anemones and He/she is still there.:hmm2:

They didn't accidentally sell dyed anemones. They took photos and posted them online with the other anemones for sale. How do you unintentionally do that?
There was a thread about it here in this forum, but I couldn't find it.

I once emailed an online retailer telling them I wouldn't do business with them as long as they sold dyed corals. I got an email back claiming that they didn't know what I was talking about--even after I sent them a link to the lurid, neon-bright, obviously dyed "colored corals" on their site.
