Ritteri doubled in size suddenly

My ritteri has been in the tank for almost three months and been the same size. Last night I noticed it was moving around a little on the rock its attached to. I come home today and its almost doubled in size from normal. Ive never saw it close to this big. It looks almost like I added one beside it from normal and no its not split that I can tell trust me ive looked. Its so big the foot is hanging off the rock it has nothing to attach to. Is it going to split? Or do they just have sudden growth spurts? Do I need to add another rock for the foot to attach to? This is the biggest sudden expansion of anything ive ever saw. All fish are accounted for too btw.

Maybe it found a spot it finally liked, and is showing you how happy it is. Or, could it be that you did a water change? IME, mags are good barometers of water quality.

Nice looking mag BTW.

Thanks ya'll. He is in the same spot he has been sense i placed him in the tank just about, maybe moved a inch. I had done a 20g water change on my 90g tank on tuesday but other than that no changes to the tank.

Somedays, with temp and water changed my mag will be alot larger that other days.. I find it completely normal

Thing is im pretty sure its still getting bigger rather quickly. It sat at the same size sense i got it and now in the fourth month its growing like crazy

One thing that is concerning me is that it has what looks like a white streach mark on it near the mouth. Ill try to get a pic

That is one fine nem ! You know they can also shrink for no apparent reason. One day it might just expel all of it's water and be the size of a golf ball. Then puff back up in a day, week or even month. Although truth be told, I've never seen them go a full month compressed. Just heard.
