ritteri or blue carpet?

First off I know the Ritteri will dominate my tank. The carpet will eat anything it can get.

The flow in my tank is very circular without deadspots. I also have two maxijets I plan on adding to wherever they might need to go.

Lighting is 250W MH and two actinics. I do have a SSB.

Which one has th better chance of survival?

You have a much better chance of finding a healthy blue Haddoni carpet than a healthy ritteri IMO.

I agree about finding a healthy magnifica, but it would make a great looking display to just have the magnifica taking up the whole tank. I don't know if that amount of water volume would be easy to keep stable enough for one though.

Why are some Ritteris super cheap like 30-40 and some like 120?

I actually drip RO/DI into my tank to keep the salinity perfect. Have fans and a heater to keep temp in check also. Overskim too!
