Does anyone here have a reefkeeper elite with net, I am having problems getting it to send me notifications and also having issues trying to get it to work with the my reef app on android for my phone... any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not a computer programmer and some of this is way over my head. Although I was able to get everything else programed.

thanks,
shawne

Cox wont allow outgoing RSS feeds, so other than data graphing it doesnt feed outbound.

Now at that was my discovery after months of trying to get mine to work. I gave up

Trying to get net feature to work, going to have to mail in my sid just to have it updated to 2.0,firmware. Would be so much easier and faster if DA would just let a customer flash it themselves.... guess its ganna be a couple weeks before I can fully use this.

can you force your NET to send the feeds outbound using a different port? IE currently RSS Feeds run on port 7780. can you change it to operate on say port 8080?

Got my 2.0 sid back on Friday! Updated the entire system to 2.0, webpage 2.0 and my reef 2.0, everything is working great now! Getting alerts on my phone, and now able to use my android app to view my tank statistics while I am gone, can even turn individual items on/off if needed from my phone! Took awhile but was well worth the wait and effort! This thing is amazing. Reef Keeper FTW. Can't wait for my ALC light controll module to get here so I can have the full ramp up/down feature and maybe a lighting storm from time to time.

 Did you create it's own port? Setting up my AC3 was a painful blur. I had issues with my game adapter and controller. Sure is nice to achieve "connected" status at the end of the hastle though.

actually had to create its own web address in order for me to access it from my phone app. and yes also had to create its own port in the router, not a computer tech so this was alot of research on here and the DA forum... only took me 2 weeks and countless hours to get it completed.. well worth it now though. I can quit having the anxiety of coming home to a floor full of water, atleast I will know before I make it to the door that something is wrong through the alerts I set up.

want to do mine?

so did you guys ever have success getting Ed's up and running?
Sounds a bit complicated

I need to get his contact info. Yes it got very complicated, was actually able to get help from the forum of this controller, as DA customer service is in the department of LACK.. but basically just have to set up a gmx.com email account, also set up a free acct at dyndns then set the router to port fowarding, and presto it works. I have to say that oscar (opy01) is the man that got mine going. Now I am able to view and monitor my system from an android application that lets me turn on/off any module or outlet that I have programed! Very cool system, but as with anything it has its bugs...
