I've got a RKE system installed on my tank and I've got an alarm set up for low temp. Every now and then, the RKE will start beeping the alarm. I'll check and sure thing it says low temp. All I have to do is press the function key to silence it, then wiggle the temp probe wire. The temp will then resume back to normal. Today this happened while I was at work.
So I have a couple problems.
1. The bad signal or what not that trips the alarm. The temp probe is new and the wires have not been kinked.
2. When it goes into low temp, the heater will turn on. It actually thinks the temp is 74* or whatever the reading is. Today this happened and thankfully the temp of the tank was only 80* when I got home. Its normally 78*.
I've tried unplugging the temp probe and I've checked the connections and it all seems good and tight. Im worried this is going to happen while Im away for extended period of time and cook my tank. Thoughts on how to cure this.
