Save the date! RMRC is pleased to announce the next RMRC Frag Swap, to be held Saturday May 12 at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

All the details you need can be found here at www.rmrc.info . Specific times for the event are still being determined, and will be updated as soon as they are finalized.

Start fragging now so you'll be ready - see you there!

How big is the frag swaps normally? We just had ours a couple of months ago and we had a great turn out. We did things a little different though. Is the details listed on the web in concrete?

Well the biggest difference that we did was we charged per table. so we wanted a lot of people to come and the people selling stuff would get a table we also had a lot of commercial vendors come we even got a Distributor for the new Solaris LED lighting to come and for those that didn't come we hit them up for donations to have the raffles.

Kind of similar to what we did in Ohio but not quite. There everyone paid the entrance fee if they were selling or just buying, and then the proceeds went to the seller, and all raffle ticket sales obviously went to the club. Vendors paid extra to set up a booth(s) for their sales.
Something that has been a big hit for several years is the use of www.fragswappers.com, where sellers can place their frags or dry goods for viewing and can prearrange sales/swaps ahead of time. Anything that wasn't picked up before the last hour or so of the swap is them placed up for first come first served. The advantage to this is that non sellers can get an idea of what people will have. Also since you have to "register" to make fragswapper transactions the club hosting the event will see how many people have registered and have some idea of the turn out. This can give the hosts a chance to make adjusements should they book say a 1000Sqft. hall and have 400 people registered to come.

I love it when other people give props to my site...the more use it gets the more likely that I'll rewrite it. :) Thanks Thruge.

..and it's still free to everybody (and will most likely stay that way...for swaps anyway). Just have your organizer register on the site and email or PM me if you want to use it.

DOH!!
Thanks for correcting that, I typed it instead of copy and pasting it, then never looked back.

Christina,
It is a great way to pre-sell for the swap. Lets buyers know what to expect for frags. It worked well for the PA swap. I had a blast. I think we should look into it for ours.

Thanks Steve and Thurge for the suggestion and Larry for the link. The board has approved so we will be getting our May 12 event on the fragswapper site hopefully soon.

Hi folks, my name is Kevin Fizz and I'm the designer and supporter of FragSwapper.com. I wanted to let you guys know that if you register for my site and don't get your confirmation email in 24 hours to please either IM me here (I check it once a day on weekdays) or email me at Fizz71*yahoo.com (replace the * with an @).

The confirmation emails actually go out INSTANTLY as far as my site is concerned...but lately they've been stuck in queues or filtered as spam for whatever reason and it's beyond my control.

I actually haven't even gotten Christina's request emails yet so even I'm not getting stuff. :) ...but we've chatted via IM and your all up and ready to go.

Again...no confirmation? Just let me know your FragSwapper login NAME (I don't need your password) and I'll activate you by hand.

Thanks.
