RO/DI any experience

I'm looking to get a RO/DI to get me by for a few months. I won't be able to lift the 5 gallon jugs to fill my barrels. I'm thinking this would get me by until I heal. Anyone got an old one to sale or a place to get a decent one?

I have one from BulkReefSupply and like it. Spectrapure is also a company out of Phoenix you might want to check out.

For a a few years I was hauling 5 gallon container from the RO unit we use for drinking water on the main floor, down into the basement where my sump is located. Was very please when i picked up a used RO/DI unit I could install in the basement and hook it up to a ATO, much nicer than hauling the water Jugs, and keeps a much more consistent salinity.

I got mine from BRS.... 6 stage chloramine with dual TDS and Flow Meter with an upgrade to 150GPD. I had to buy a booster pump because my apartment PSi was 58 now its at 90 psi and i pump the water 35ft to a jug next to my tank ( i haven't installed the float valve yet)! I haven't installed an ATO to it yet but I really want to! I have an ATO (Tunze unit on my DT and freaking love it) Is there anything as reliable for RO/DI like the TUnze Osmolator?

I was looking at the Tucson water site and I dont see where they use chloramine. Does anyone know four sure??

I am in Glendale, AZ and i got the chloramine because I will eventually be moving to Florida and from there somewhere else so I wasn't sure after FLorida if i am going to need it so it was a safety precaution

I had a local company, Aqua Chill, set up two different RO/DI units for my systems and am getting 0 TDS. The company is owned by Joe Cristiani, the former cellphone guru.

Went with the Spectra Pure 90GPD referb unit $128. Ordered yesterday came in today will be installing tomorrow. Got a TDS meter also. Will be connection to my two 55 gal barrels out back. Any advice before I go at it like, put a "t" in the product line with two valves so you can check TDS before you put into storage?? I don't have much time to get this right. My surgery is next week and I won't be able to use the right shoulder for 6 weeks. Tank maintenance is gonna be fun!

if you have questions just call spectrapure they will help you out completely! I got their LLC-SVC and it automatically fills my reservoir and turns my booster pump off... its essentially set and forget liek my tunze osmolator!

I have the same unit, you might want to also invest in a booster pump, if your PSI is below 50, in Gold Canyon it is 35 and it was taking me 1 hour to make a gallon of water

Sounds Like a steal

I have a spectra pure 9 stage. Couple things I would recommend is use spectra pure products. I found they last longer especially the di. Also, I use to have my unit hooked up directly to my 110g, but It wasted so much of the filter from it being on off all the time. I now fill a 55 gallon container and use that for top off and refill that when needed. One last thing, if your having your unit hooked up to a direct line, make sure you buy a auto shut off valve. Spectra pure doesn't include one. If u don't put one on, the water will continue to run through the first 2 stages none stop.

9 stages!!!!!! Good lord!!!! What are they? I thought 7 was a lot. I had 2 membranes
