One type better than another?

Have this type now but is still not shutting off even after taking apart and flushing.

Started looking for a replacement and came across many different types (examples ). Ideally looking for 1/4" QC, but is one type better than another?

Have you tried tapping on the unit, they sometimes simply stick and need a good wack with a screwdriver I'm told.

I use the type in your first link. Last time I changed my ATO, the problem was really the check valve on the output from the waste on the membrane I think. Some of the units have check valves in the elbow coming out of the membrane housing, and some just have one in-line between the housing and the ATO.

You might want to take a look at that too.

Often times the probelm with an ASOV is really a leaking check valve or whatever valve you have on the output of the DI tube.

RE the differencet types of ASOV's - your post shows many of the brands availalbe - and there are a few more as well. Be aware that some have a horsehoe flow patterns and some have a straight-through flow patterns.
