RO/DI Guidance

Looking for recommendations on an RO/DI unit. Only have a 29g biocube. Would like to have(s):

Dual inline TDS meter
Tee for drinking water
Pressure gauge

There are many different brands out there...a lot depending on your own needs.... Bulk reef supply has good units for good prices with meters and press gauge. I have a spectapure and it's a good unit also with meter and gauge. I don't have any personal experience with using it for drinking water

I have used for drinking water in past system. U can install under sink with pressure tank and add a spicket in your sink.

I use SpectraPure 90 gpd refurbished and its pretty nice, not that I've used anything else before.

You can buy an inline meter for like $30 and a tee at your local hardware store. Just add the tee before the RO filter.

I have a bulk reef supply 75 gpd value plus 4 stage with pressure gauge and dual inline tds meter... Price was great and has worked like it's supposed to do with no complaints...I have great water pressure at around 85-90 psi so no extra pump needed ( if you have low pressure you will have a high waste water amount- mine is 2 or 3 to 1 waste water to pure water ratio for example-if pressure is low will go through your DI resin faster and have a higher waste/pure ratio I believe)

I have a 75 gpd 123filter model, came with a pressure tank and spigot for sink, installed it all myself then added a T to the fridge for drinking water and ice maker. ice cubes are almost clear now and no more wasting money on filters for the fridge.

I also went with the BRS 75GPD value plus. It had everything that I wanted included and installed already, the dual line TDS meter, pressure gauge, flush valve, auto shut-off switch. I added everything up individually and with every other brand no unit came close in price when you added all these features in.

I'd recommend BRS 75gpd plus it's reasonable and works great, pressure gauge, TDS hook in, Ato on the unit. I have about 65psi and I have a 2:1 waste ratio. I also invested in the chlorimine carbon for the additives to the water. Love mine, but have no experience in drinking it. Ppl have said they hook a T valve after the membrane but before the filters that way it's not completely stripped of all the minerals but then again that's all hear say. Never done it myself

FAOIS, John and Chris build systems to your needs, been very happy since they helped me replace my anemic DI canister with one of theirs.

So what if my psi is at 40-45 you guys would put a booster pump ....I have noticed I'm changing my di resin out maybe every month and im only making 35 gallons a week whats the normal usage supposed to be?

Drinking distilled water for long periods of time can be bad for your health. Your body needs the minerals contained within normal drinking water.

Not only that I watched a show on the science channel talking all ab o UT water. Pure 00 TDS water when it becomes in contact with other minerals will pull those mineral into the water. So they said if u drink pure 00 TDS water it will tend to pull the minerals from your body. That's on top of not getting the beneficial minerals in water
