Mechanical Float Valves

Mechanical Float Valves

This should work fine. I have a similar setup on my sump. I have the RO unit installed underneath the kitchen sink plumbed to a faucet, but have tee off of the supply to the faucet running under the house and to my sump. I use a plastic float valve from us plastics to control the water level. These valves are mechanical and need no wiring. There is the chance of the valve getting stuck open, but in the two years that I have been running this I have had no problems. I also have the same setup on my tank for water changes.

here is the link to us plastics:

look under valves on the left hand side of the page. They are the mini pvc valves.

i agree with azdesertrat. for 50 bucks gets a solenoid valve, a relay, and 2 float switches. this will avoid the tds creep issue.
