ro di install location

Hey Everyone,

Just curious if anyone has there ro di systems installed outside in the backyard...say under a covered terrace? I want to simply install it right outside my kitchen in the terrace which is covered and use a faucet adapter for the main feed. I will have a brute trash can for the water to dispense to right next to it..
Anything I need to know that would hold me back from doing this install?

Rogger has his outside in a big plastic mini-shed type thing, just had the runoff go out into the yard. That's the only person I know of that has theirs outside.

I have the exact setup right now. It seems to work great.

Rogger recommended that I put a thick black trash bag around the clear plastic parts of the filter so algae doesn't build up from the sun in the filter.

I also took some 3/4" black foam tape around the lid of the brute container so that it actually "seals" when you close the lid.

Make sure the drain tubing goes into the grass because I let it just drip on the concrete and it started to grow mold.

Thanks guys...not a prob on the drain side since it will drain where my a/c water drips too.. definitely appreciate the quick replies!

A good place for it to drain in to is a bird bath! That way atleast it gets used for something else!! I think someone on here had theirs do that....neat idea

I hung mine right above me laundry washer. its tied in with the cold water line. Simple and convenient.
