i got the ocean wave 5 stage from the filter guys,but i didnt know they made them at FAOIS when i purchased it.i do like the unit but would have rather spent the money locally.

For overall quality, service and profesional tech support IMO filterguys or Spectrapure. With either one you can be assured you will get a troublefree well functioning unit.
Search for Typon II or airwaterice in this forums, their units are OK but seems there is a "Groucho" in customer service.

I didn't know John makes RO/DI systems. I was there yesterday but I get there too late 6:00pm but I was going there with the idea to see if he sells them.

Anybody know how much it cost? I like to spend the money locally too.

Yes John will hook you up. Hes got the right RO/DI that ya need. The best part about him is ya always know hes selling good equiptment, he doesnt sell crap..and the prices are right in line with the internet.

I'm with you!

I have the Typhoon - and its built well, no problems in almost a year ... and i'd highly recommend them ... but if you are local, or near FAOIS - and if they make great stuff ... then support your local store.

Never heard anyone having issues with air water ice folks.... after two years I finally had an issue with it... the auto shutoff quit working, I sent them an e-mail with everything I had tested and done and found that the ATSO was broken. When I took it apart the lower diaphragm had gotten partially sucked out the exit and plugged the hole. They immediately sent me out a new one no charge...

I would not recommend a system with a membrane of 100 gpd.
100 gpd membranes have a 90% rejection versus the 98% rejection of membranes 75 gpd or less. This means that 100 gpd membranes let pass 10% of he impurities while the others only 2% which translates in a DI cartridge lasting 5 times longer and saving a lot of money in DI cartridge replacement.
