I have a 25 gallon per day system. My waste to good ratio is like 9.5. 1 oz good 9.5 oz bad in 1 min. I tested my system within spectapures guidlines. I only lost like 2lbs. of pressure with filters in verse without. I checked the flow regulator size and it is ok. Should i replace the regulator? Thats alot of waste water:(... My water company is gonna love me... Bad enough I am Losing like 4-5 gallons a day. HELP!!!

It should run about 4 or 5:1 waste: product water. The input pressure and temperature both play a large part in the production quantity you will see.
Does yours have an adjustable flow restrictor or is it just a small orifice inside the tubing?

Quite possibly the water temp. When it is real cold, and the water temp dips below 40 degree, the production goes way down. Essentially the water molocule expands and the ability to transfer through the membrane is reduced.
Or...did you replace a large membane with the 25 GPD? If so, you'll need to replace the flow restrictor to match.

Good Luck

Glad you solved it. Buckeye Field Supply sells an adjustable one that you can tweak to get the desired output to waste ratio.

They even have a sponsor forum here on RC. They are usually at the swaps since they are an Ohio based company.
