RO has stopped making water

I ran downstairs over the long weekend to mix up some salt water for a water change and my RO unit has decided to almost stop working. It still drips some water, but at a rate just high enough to keep up with evap. Pretty much happened overnight. It has been slowing down, but has always keeped up with my schedule. I think my filters are shot so I need some replacements. What do i need to look for on the unit to find out what kind of replacement filters I need? It is marked on the unit? I forgot to check before I came to work and was wondering if I could get away with ordering some today so I can have them by the end of the week, without knowing the model of unit I have. any which filters should I replace. any ideas?

It's possible the membrane is shot too and it's discarding more water then it should. But I am not sure what happens when a membrane goes bad. I'd assume your TDS would sky rocket as well so you may want to check that as well.

Before people can start telling ya what filters to replace they'd need to know the exact models of the RO unit you have. Is it RO/DI is it a 3, 5, or 7 stage ro unit?

Most of the common parts like pre sediment filters and carbon filters etc I think are pretty interchangeable but not sure about the membranes etc. I'd see what the product specs are and find a good dealer to replace them.

When a membrane goes bad you see a slow in water flow through the unit.

As for replacements they are all pretty standard. If you have one of the more popular brands you should be able to get replacements almost anywhere. Allen just posted a thread about a good company, I would try them or use buckeye field supply.

If you sediment filter clogs it too will slow water production and you will notice a change in water pressure in the unit if it is equiped with a pressure guage prior to the RO.

If you can tell me the name brand and model of the unit I can advise you re replacement cartridges.
