RO membrane?

If you have a RO system that does say 35 gallons a day, could you use a membrane that is rated for 90 gallons a day? I don't see how a higher rated membrane would negatively effect performance. What do you guys think?

YES, and YES ... get the one from spectra pure, it has a rejection rate of over 98% and can do 100 gal/day. You can also add another RO membrane in series to increase output and lessen the wasted water ... the filter guy is a another good source

Thanks. Specta pure is having a sale right now. I posted this thread on the Greater SF forum and a guy said that the higher rated membranes allow more through giving a higher rate per day. He said the filter guys told him that.
