Even a couple on sale. I'm thinking of getting the declivis... it is such a different color than my declivis, it might be neat to have them together.

You are an addict!

You probably already have most of them, but I noticed last night that LA got a ton of Australian butterflies in, some uncommon ones too! I'm trying to resist the temptation.

I just can't right now. The current QT crowd is almost done, and I'm out of town, then at a wedding, then out of town again. Not in the cards right now :(

Peter that declivis is the exact color of my old male. Almost all yellow in the back. The female had a lot of black. Awesome specimen

Chris, that is interesting. Are you implying that the color difference is a sexual thing, not a regional thing?

Not sure if it is sexual but once I added my pair of Tinkers the black was almost gone on the male. He started off with a lot of black

How did you know which one was male and which was female? I haven't seen any information on sexing any butterfly species... Did you have spawnig events between the two?

The male was the smaller of the 2 and was constantly sizing up the larger tinkers. He also courted with the female nightly

No, I've never found them too attractive. Plus, I understand that they are very aggressive to other butterflies.

I've had a mesoleucos in QT for two months now and pics don't do them justice. I'll post my experience if/when I get him into my DT, but right now he is recovering from a hunger strike after his first experience with cupramine.

I'm sure you will love the quadrimaculatus, very active BF. Mine is always pacing my tank.
