Rock making Party

I checked tham and uncovered them today they look like they are setting up ok
I will not touch them for a few days I wiill have to cover them tonight .. damb frost warning for here.. gotta love NY weather

I took a small piece that some how broke off and placed it in my toilet tank. I swear I didnt try and pick it up. I think a strong gust of wind must of past thru my garage and swirled around in side the box and broke it. :) Looks real good. Ill let you know how the salt does as it disolves.

Well I took my few pieces out of the box today and sunk them in my toilet tank. Was a tight fit and the wife was looking at me like I had gone completly mental but it did fit in there. I have to say I am very impressed so far with it. It is solid and not britle at all. I took a wire brush and gave it a good scrub to remove any lose stuff and to uncover any salt crystals just under the layer of cement. It looks great. the smaler piece i put in there the other day has already disolved much of the surface salt and left nice indents. I think we did a good job. I may make a few hundred pounds to have around for my future tank. Get an early start on it.

The rock we made is looking good , it is curing up nicely and I will let it continue to harden till monday when I will put it in the stream.
The pieces are way cool.

its not finished it is just started...lol....takes a very long time to finish about 2 to 3 months before it can go in a tank...

I moved the rock off the tarp here is a nice picture of it :

The rock needs to be put in wate for about 2 months so it can cure and let the PH come down. I have a stream in my backyard I will be putting it in there on Monday...
