Rod's food is now available at Premium Aquatics

Um, with all due respect, you are quoting yourself!!!! :)

I was so worried about overfeeding my reef that early on I inadvertantly starved some fish. Fed too little too infrequently. Until I saw the quantities of food the folks I consider pillars in the hobby feed similarly stocked reefs...

Overfeeding = bad
Underfeeding = bad

I'm not saying puffer's method is underfeeding. Different fish have different needs. Look at them, and they'll tell you. Look at the cyano and that'll tell you too! :)

Right now, I'm running a
-90g planted discus/pleco (& assorted loaches & other fish),
-29g BW w/figure 8 puffers a dragon goby (my latest article is on them) & 1 lonely bumblebee goby (puffers ate the rest),
-15g with a bright red FW Congo puffer, named Punkster,
-125g w a gorgeous & very personable 1' fahaka puffer, that actually allows tank mates (most fahakas eat them) of large cichlids, tiger barbs a 12" goldspot pleco & lots of other oddballs,
-20g w/a 4" flat, metallic green puffer, called a modestus puffer & a 7" royal pleco,
-55g river tank w/n African sideneck & softshell turtle
-55g reef tank (soon to be upgraded to a 90g)
-50g presently astoring LR & overflow corals from the frag swap but hoping to keep either a dwarf lionfish or sharpnose puffer, with a Dusky jawfish.

Here are a few of my puffers:

The modestus and congo are very cool. How much $ do these run (I have a friend who's into fresh/brackish-water puffers)? Never seen 'em before.

No, there are too many tiny particles that would not get eaten & mess w/nitrates. There are no creatures like pods & softies to eat them.

i don't know much about freshwater ;)

One of the great things about fresh water is you can drink it. You should try some time. :cool: :cool:

Even tequila I disguised as a sunrise. Haven't had a drink in over 8 years though.

Thats nothing how about 30 years! And I'm 30 years old.

There's a funny joke about that... A fellow in AA goes to his mom & says "Mom, I have 10 years sober today!" & Mom says, "so what, so does the cat."
