First class, Rod
What gear are you using for your photography?
Tone
No I haven't. I don't know whether it's because I don't have the domes with reflectors but I don't get hot spots at all. Check this pic, it shows more of a ring of light rather than a hot spot. This pic was taken after my old tank was pulled out and before the new one went in.Originally posted by NaClH20NMYVEIN
Rod, You have an amazing tank. Sorry if this has already been covered but I was wondering if you have an burning issues during your summer on any of the corals? One of the other solartube builds I was following was experiencing burning in the summer. He said the solar tubes produced hot spots like a laser during the summer. Have you had any issues like that? Thanks
No, the sides are actually glued on. They are made of a composite granite and resin which comes in 7mm sheets. We had our kitchen bench tops done in the same granite. The guy used the same process on the tank stand as he did on the kitchen.Originally posted by Rennsport
Wow, what a build!
One question I have regards the stand panels or doors -- did you use magnets to attach the sides?
I am welding on a stand now and still thinking about how to attach doors, side panels etc.
Thanks
