Just wanted to show some progress shots as they grow up and darken.

How long have you had them?I would of thought the black would of been in by now but could bedue to the fact that they host a Bubble Tip Anemone(Entamaea Quadricolor).

what are the sizes differences? How much has it grown since April?

I definitely think that the lack of black coloring is because of the bubble-tip. I have to get around to getting a carpet anemone, I've just been lazy. there is an LFS by me that have them.

with the matter of size, when I got them they were about 3/4-1 in. roughly, they are probably 1.5 in. now. but there gerth has grown nicely. they attack food and are very active.

When I finally get the carpet, I will take a picture when they take to it and then post pictures of the color progress. the black is definitely coming in on them, but looks inhibited, like a orangish grey color, so hopefully the carpet anemone will inspire them to grow some darker colors.

Besides that they are great fish and I won't be terribly dissappointed if they don't go full onyx. I'm not worried about them, at least they are aquacultured and not wild caught.

Nice looking onyxs,they are still young and should get more black coloration.

yes... the fish are still young and have much growing to do. I am confident that as they mature more they will develop pants.

the GSP looks nice around the anemone, thank god it is only on the anemone rock, that stuff is like wildfire. two things I will never do again, GSP and mushrooms (the coral).

I saw a very nice sebae (H. cripsa) today that I couldn't pass on...considering they too naturally host perculas. The fish haven't taken to it yet but it settled in very quickly in the tank.

you would think after the fish were in an anemone for a couple months there wouldn't be a long transition process to the new sebae. I'd like to try the picture but no one seems to have a picture of perculas in a H. crispa.

I dont really like try make clowns host anemones but with this one since they are already hosting and Anemone I would try to feed them over to it just so they can get a look at it but I would not lead them into it.

no not yet...I dunno what they are doing. They wouldn't leave the bubbletip, you would think they would be even more inclined to take to a natural host for them in the wild.

I guess the only nice thing about them not going into the anemone yet is I can make sure the sebae is doing alright before they start their rubbing.

the first picture was a picture of the day I added it to the tank, so it wasn't fully acclimated yet. Looks good now, nice and sticky.
