Rod's Onyx Clownfish

After debating for a week, i finally decided to get a Onyx clown to pair with my black perc picasso clown. I never thought Rod's Onyx clownfish could be so adorable, until i picked up one from LFS yesterday. There was ORA clownfish next to Rod's, however, ORA clownfish can't be competing with Rod's. I am never been a fan of ORA clownfish as I thought the proportion of ORA clownfish was a bit off which clearly shows when ORA clowns are next to Rod's Onyx Clowns.

Was the Rods fish a trade in? Where are you located? They are pretty hard to find in stores lately, I thought.

I thought Rod stopped breeding when he started selling food????????
Are you sure the onyx weren't SA onyx? They're from the same bloodline, which originated at C-quest.

I am very sure about it. The LFS here does not want any clowns from SA for some reasons. I even talked to SA personally to open up a wholesaler account with them. SA told me that SF Bay Area does not want them, so they allow me to open one. I later did not do that, as i decided ask my dealer to get me wild caught picasso from Indo.

Anyway, the LFS only has a few of Rod's Onyx. I got the first one, she is the fiercest one in the group, then the sales person was going to get one . I am debating to get another 2. So, they might have 3 left.......lol.

I am very happy with Rod's Onyx actually. Never thought a tanked raised clown can be that nice. Intense orange and black, good proportion, and nice movement. ORA clowns look a bit off and clumsy for me
