FWIW When I was shipping them, I lost less than 1% (out of well over 1000 clowns shipped . Less than 1% is damn good rates. Due to them using less o2, I feel that they ship better when younger/smaller. If they have been eating frozen and completely stabilized, they are ready to go. I do have concerns with people being able to care for them at that size and that why everyone is warned of their size (over and over again) . But there is always that " ""Yeah, I know, but I want to watch them grow up"" " and that "" Yeah, but I want to be sure of getting a pair""" You say AGAIN.."" They are small!!" ""Thats OK..""". Now again They are perfectly fine to ship at at that size ( IMO even better off)..
Rkelman: even if you add all of the few that were lost with other vendors doing the shipping I will bet that its still less than one percent, which is damn good odds. Much better than all of the wild caughts which I would guess to be closer to 25-50% loss. All of those wild caughts are usually full sized clowns.. So, please tell me why YOU think size has anything to do with shipping moralities. Is there any back up to your claims other than " they are too small?? Would it be any different that shipping a clown goby?
Yes, you are entitled to your opinion ( every one has one ) but your opinion is based on what you know very little about ( (IE: success rates of shipping smaller clowns vs larger). Yes, there is a point where small is too small, but not in this case.
