Moving on Up
Hi Roger,

Just a follow up and some more questions. I recently sent you a video of a skimmer I purchased from a fellow member of this site. There was a few areas of concern one was an easy fix and the other you told me to see if water comes out of the area they pried with a screwdriver. I guess I was lucky because no water came out. I have the skimmer set up and running in my sump. The question is water comes out a hole in the back of the skimmer is this normal? I have the blue screw almost all the way open and the bubbles are still not making it to the cup. Am I doing anything wrong?

That is normal (water exiting hole) The skimmer needs time to produce the foam that will rise up, it doesn't happen immediately. Set the venturi screw to about 3-4 turns open and wait a day, then make any adjustments in increments of 1/4 turn per day, open more if no skimming occurs, less if skimmate is watery.

Great thanks Roger. I also heard of some kind of upgrade for these skimmers is that true?
