Roger`s Lagoon

Roger,those pics are amazing!
Corals have great colors and i really like the way montis grow together:)
It's nice to have a beautiful tank like that and not spent too much time!Welldone!

Sorry for the accident,i hope you'll recover fast and fully:thumbsup:

Corals are beautiful sir, simply beautiful. I hope your recovery goes well and swiftly. Keep up the great work and best of luck from here on out, I think you have had your share of not so good luck.:D

wow, I love the rails at the start of the post and how you utilize them. Are these rails for servers that you are using or some other type.

If you ever get a chance make a video showing off how the stand and ATO container function, heck just make a video showing off the tank and all its neat functions.

Thank you, yes I like to try to reach a natural look in the tank so therefor I let corals grow together. Yeah, fully focused on rehab and getting ready for the next winter.

The rails are just some regular rails for heavy drawers, the can take up to 50kg each if I remember correctly. Really happy about them and how it functions, especially on the ATO container. To be able to slide that out is really nice:)

I was inspired by the amazing "A reef in the sky" thread here, and tried to come something close to that on the stand. So thats how I ended up with sliding doors:)

Wow!

Wow!

Glad I saw your tank before ordering my own. What an inspiration!

Roger - is you tank made from low iron glass or just regular aquarium glass?

Best to you,

Bob

Thanks, glad to be an inspiration:) Well, I am actually not sure what kind of glass that is used. Its a brand called Woha that supplied the glas.

Hi Roger,

May I ask how you attached the plastic sheet to the back of your tank?

Thanks,

Bob

Thanks,

The acrylic sheet is just resting on the frame on the back, and with the frame on top it is hold in place. This way it is easy to change if I wanted the black background.

Love the color contrast with the corals...thanks Roger I pick up some ideas from your build..

What a awesome tank and build! So sorry about the flood but glad the tank is still up. Good work man,

Thanks, well the tank is now gone and new floor is in place. Future build being planed;)

Is this what my corals are supposed to look like? Huh...

Hehe, I don`t know but mine did;)

Well, even though the tank is taken down, another forum called Reefsanctuary nominated me for TOTM August, and I did win:) Happy about that even if it is a smal forum for reefers.

Congrats roger:celeb3::celeb3:
Welldone!
Worthy nomination:beer:

What's the news regarding the new build?

wow... what a story..
after the skiing accident, i don't know how he would be able to deal with home renovations and rehab..
if you are still in the reefing frame of mind, roger.. i loved reading this thread..
maybe you'll be back..
due to moves and children and renovations, i think I've torn down and rebuilt my tank 7 times...
you can do it roger! :)

Hi guys:)
I`m still here. But with no reef tank. As mentioned earlier I had the tank taken down, and the floor replaced. I still reads and follow quite a few threads here just to keep myself updated. But it has been a rough time since I had the accident. Got some problems after second surgery with my ****ed up ankle, and had two more surgeries to try to fix thinks in there. Well, after what feels like a million boring hours of rehab, I am now almost recovered. But the leg will never be the same. Training hard everyday now to keep up with the pain, and since I am outdoors man I am putting in a lot of hard work to able to go skiing again. Not as extreme as before, but it will still be nice to feel some powder under my skis again.
On the reef side, I had planes for a new build. But it will not happen yet. I still makes changes to the build on paper. So not ready for starting the build quite yet. But there will be a version 2.0 of Roger`s Lagoon, and it is going to be much better than the first version:)
I`l be back!
