roger ups backup for 6045

what size would run this for say aleast 4hrs staying w the computer type backup. also does the 6045 run alittle noisy always hear that vibration when fairly close to tank,wife is a noise freak.

It shouldn't be audible more than a couple feet from the aquarium but yes they make some noise. The pump uses 7w, most of these UPS supplies have a table on the back that shows how long they run various wattage equipment for. It shouldn't take very much to run it for 4hrs. Keep in mind that a non true sine wave UPS will run the pump for a short term but you may have problems with it running backwards and chattering more. A true sine wave UPS will eliminate this problem, synchornous pumps are heavily dependent on the frequency to run properly.
