Rose bubble anemone

How long does it take for an anemone to split once it starts the process?

I have a beautiful about 8" diameter rose anemone. For the last three or four weeks, it has been drawn up and sort of drifting about the tank. Today I noticed it looked like a second mouth opening was forming.

Just wondering if this is normal.

All tank parameters test fine and have been. My purple tip carpet has double in size during this same time frame.

im a newb, but have been reading a ton about anemones. a double mouth would be EXTREAMLY rare.

when anemones split, they start at the foot, and rip to the mouth. then, neither of them have a mouth for a week or so, and they grow new ones.

do you see white curley stuff near the mouth? is it eating at all?

Thanks, it has been eating a little. The clown fish that calls it home drags bits of shrimp to eat when i put them in there.

I just got one and am looking for a Fire Clown to match.. But is the anemone suppose to look like this

THe coloration is weird.. More orange than red and lots of white spots...
