Rose Bubble Tip Anemone.

Nem looks great!

bues0022, great post. To prove his points, I got an RBTA about a year ago and placed it right where I wanted it. It was on a large rock with a good cave-like hole at the foot. Long story short, the my RBTA hasn't moved since the minute I put it into the tank. Also, as for feeding, I feed my nem once ever month or two. I take a 1/4" to 1/2" piece of silverside, soak it in Selcon for a few hours to let it thaw, then just gently set it on the nem and it closes right up.

Actually, after about 2 or 3 months, my RBTA split and both stayed in the same spot for a few weeks but eventually, the clone "walked" up and over the top of the rock and now sits directly behind the original nem. It's a little annoying because the only way I can see the second "clone" is to look at it's reflection in the glass, but since my clowns are happy each having their own "house" (that's what my wife calls them), I'm happy.

Just found some pictures of when I first put my RBTA into my tank. You can see in the second picture where it's foot is in a mini cave.

Yup, He looks great... what i actually did was after he attached to a rock and started walking away i rearranged the rock and flipped him towards the light... and hes staying out... so does look like enough of a "cave" for him? and how big is your nem now?
 
My RBTA got a little more than triple it's original size before it split. Since the split, the smaller of the two has grown a bit but the one in the original spot hasn't got much bigger. I'm happy with their size which is why I don't feed them too often, but I think I'll start feeding them a little more frequently and see what happens.

Your nem seems to be in there pretty well. My one concern would be that it is a pile of rocks, and a hermit crab walking in the wrong spot might make the pile of rocks fall and that would be bad for the nem. Are the rocks stuck together?
 
Those rocks arn't going anywhere... i made sure of it haha. The only thing that i am concerned with is the fact that hes so small... if my clwons find him now it won't be good haha thats why i'm trying to get a large Green Bubble Tip Anemone To put on the other side of the tank... would a GBTA and a RBTA be fine on oppostie sides of the tank in a 90? i think so...

The nem looks great will. Good choice on placement. Yes you will be fine with another bubble tip on the other side.
 
A RBTA and GBTA would be fine directly next to each other even. Same species of nems but different color morphs can touch without problems.
 
mine moved around until it found a spot it liked, but i didn't wanted it there. it was too close to other corals. so I blocked some light and put rocks around it till it moved, and once it moved on to a piece of the rock I place it put it back on the bottom of the tank. next thing I noticed is that it split. one is attached to a rock here it really can't go anywhere and other one is attached to a rock where it can move up if it wants to but it's staying there. as far as false ocellaris hosting, i think the key is to have them exposed to a clown hosting. i bought a black one and i was told that it probably won't host since it's tank bread. so i got a ornage percula that's hosting and put it in the same tank, i got this one like 2 weeks after the black one which is smaller. the black one did not host and when it got close to the rbta the orange one pushed it away, now after about 2 months they are happy and hosting together.

I also agree that it's a myth. My tank-bred onyx percs host anything they find. (frogspawn, trumpet coral, zoanthids) I eventually got them a RBTA a couple months ago and now has become two. The female hosts one and the male hosts the other. They just laid their first clutch of eggs right in between the anemones.:love2:

There still juvis but the bigger one plays all day in the nem but the littler one gets ran off but otherwize there together all night..
These are tank raised ocellaris.. Took about 3 days for them to get curious then the bigger one dove in.. The little one though not sure about it yet darts threw a few times...
 
Streak: Be careful its not reccomended to have an anemone in anything less that a 30 gallon. Your tank also looks very new. Is your tank at least 6 months old? And that anemone looks pretty close to that powerhead.
 
Yeah i know the nem police going to get me soon i keep 10 gallons of premixed water at all times ready for water changes... And a big big skimmer suppoedly rated for a up to 75 gallon.. as soon as i get my skimmer box at the beginning of the month im adding a 20g sump so that should help with water stability.. its been in there for about a month now fed it 2 silver sides total cut up.. ever other week. Im going to get some of the selcon i really like that idea... ohh and i have a 150gpd ro/di unit too.. cant wait till i setup my 75rr tank with 55 sump.. all i need is lights. and sand.

Its not just the water stability it can also grow right into that powerhead. It wont be able to go into your 75 gallon tank for at least 6 months. It will be huge by then. If you decide to try to keep it in that tank I would reccomend finding a different food for it. People here on rc have lost perfectly healthy nems to silversides. Try raw shrimp. But still I would reccomend getting rid of it until you have an atequate tank.
