Can Rowaphos be put into a media bag and used that way?

Yes, it just needs water forced through it.

I would be putting it into a media section of my sump that has a constant flow of water onto from my refugium. Right now I have seagel and phosguard in that area. Would this work?

Anywhere water gets forced through it should be okay. It might be more efficient to use a reverse flow reactor, but I don't, personally.

Do you have yours in a reactor. This just a chamber in my sump that hold media and polyfilters and has water dumped through it. Only problem I see, is that the chamber is within sump and water does seep in and out from main sump area. Maybe I will just stick with phosguard and seagel. Just heard great things about rowaphos.

Mine is in a PhosBan reactor, but I don't run reverse-flow, so it's equivalent to a canister filter.

I run my GFO in a canister filter.

As Bertoni said, as long as you can force water through the media, it should be effective.
