Royal Exclusiv Dream Box

@Kengar, she's on board for the most part. She hasn't found the 4 inch roll of twenties that I have hidden away to pay for this. :-)

when I told my wife the tank is probably going to be about 5K, I was telling the truth. The TANK is. . . . . the rest of the stuff, well, we won't go there.

@ClownsRCoo, well true, mine will be in the wall, so, maybe just a faint trickling noise in my office while I look at all the bills lol

Well the trap was set and I took the bait. The dreambox is up and running and is beautiful. I think the only thing she wants in return is a water softener for the house which is fine by me. I'm sure il get hustled into a few more things but totally worth it. I tried to brake down the cost to see if it was worth it and after you figure the price for the skimmer and return pump it made it a lot easier to justify the cost. The only thing that was hard to swallow was the shipping cost. If they can figure a way to get that down I think they could make a lot more sales.

Hey Dan. Mine is complete, got my final invoice this morning. The weight and dimensions are:
dimensions: 1,60 m x 0,85 m x 1,00 m height
weight: 110 kg
Trying to decide how to ship. Did you have RE ship yours? If you don't mind answering, what was your shipping cost. Did you have to hire an agent to do the paperwork and get it through customs separately? I am thinking about having UPS handle mine as they will handle all the details and I just pick it up at the airport.
Thanks,
Jeff

Same here, as I said earlier.
Socks clog, have to be washed, clog faster as they get older. Poor solution IMHO. Never liked them.

My LifeReef sump has the covers, has the trays for filter pads and filter floss. The pads are easy to rinse in the sink and put right back in the sump. The floss or blue polyfill pad can easily be tossed and refreshed with a new piece. Protein Skimmer and filter canisters are all integrated. Probe holders, connections for CaRx, and anything else you need. I even have led mood lighting over mine. lol It's not as flashy but it works and that's all that matters to me. Plus I need to see what's going on inside. I don't like those solid white walls even though they look cool.

That's the sump I think I'm going to order along with an external skimmer and refugium. I'm trying to figure out a couple things. The manufacture says it only holds 29 gallons. Is there any way to raise the water height? Just by looking at pictures I can't even tell how water height is established in the center chamber. I like the idea of the pads rather than socks which kind of got me interested in LR. Did you an ATO tank with yours? Are those uni-seals your using on the outlets?

Thanks.

Love to see some pictures of your unit in operation.

Is a Dreambox worth the money? Anyone who sees the difference?

best regards ... Klaus
Very pretty dreambox but I'd much rather have that sump volume and even more so that MTC dual mazzei venturi. That is calore1's who is a respectable reefer on this site. I don't think it's very cool to compare. The two types of setups are entirely different.

Edit: I also noticed someone on the next page after that was posted said "nice before and after " that was NOT a before and after at all or the same person's.

Also, I have no say on the cost. It's well worth the cost for some.

Anyone who got a box as I did not see any pics of it up and running. I just ordered a box myself and would like to see one in operation.

@Salty150

the Glastank was Made in Netherland ... I am not sure, if the Customer is registered in Reefcentral....

best regards ...Klaus
