RTBA hiding when lights are on

Any ideas on why this is happening. When my lights come on my anemone goes into hiding. Lighting is 2x150W MH. I'm trying to recover the anem's health; its bleached and some what small. It's been in my 40 gal tank for 3 weeks and I've been feeding it raw shrimp and large krill. I feed it at night and it's about 3 times bigger when the lights are off. Any ideas are welcome.

She is just adjustig to the light, as it is bleached it can't take much of it. Also do you turn off any in tank recirculation pumps at night? If you do may be there is too much flow for it during the day when you turn the pumps back on.

How long have you had your tank up and running?

What are your tank parameters?

BTA's usually need adjusting to their new environment, but in my experience 3 weeks is too long. Was it bleached when you got it?

Yes it was bleached when I got it. It was from my dad's tank and his lighting went out on him, and system never recovered from that. It's in a low circulating area of the tank also. Looks great at night, but wish it would stay out during the day!

Tank peraminters are fine, except the temp got kind of low recently 74-74 degrees. I turned the heater on last night and the temp is now 78 degrees. We'll see if there's any progress tonight.

Any other ideas please let me know. Thank you.

I agree that it is probably an accimation issue. Being unhealthy like you say would compound any irritation it is feeling from the lights.

3 weeks would be a long time for a healthy BTA but for one sick, bleached out puppy this may not be too long.

Be careful not to feed too much. Once a week will do.
