Since I drove all the way to petaluma. I stopped by at fish pros to see a fish I wanted. These have been going out fast in the bay. There were 4 so now 3.

They've been treating me really well there lately. I was kinda sketched on buying fish from there since some of the stuff doesn't look real good, but they've been bringing stuff in and calling me before they put it in their system. I have bought one fish that was in their tanks and it's healthy as a horse. The only thing I've been finding when I dip corals are pods. Now that jo is gone they really have a chance to dominate since that other store in rosa has crap for coral selection

I've seen lots of diseased fish in both FP and C's. Tough to control in the store with all tanks plumbed together.

A UV sterilizer is a good call in that situation.

Living dangerous my friend the way I do it is no qt but I dip all my fish in my wife's tank for 10 minutes. She has a freshwater tank that I run a low copper. Have not a fish die due to a illness just to an anemone that thought a mccosker wrasse was ment for food

I fw dip all new arrivals since I'm lazy and haven't qt'd stuff. I just take water from my cichlid tank and they do fine. Seem more confused by it than anything

Fishpros will usually do a fw dip for you if you ask them

My meaning of QT is having a tank and have them in there for a week plus. So yes no qt. But for a dip that's diffrent LOL
