Run manifold off return pump or separate pump ?

Planning on trying out a manifold for my 120 . I've seen multiple designs of manifolds but didn't know what the best way was ... Have a 120 dual overflows/returns.... Sicce 5.0 return pump . Will have 2 mp40s for powerheads. I don't know if I should run a manifold off this or just add one more pump , maybe a sicce 1.5 and do the manifold off this ... Probably do carbon and GFO , but will probably make 3 just incase .

Then if having it off the 5.0 is best , would you put the manifold right in the middle of the returns or can you have it on one side . Didn't know if this would cause issues with which gets flow first .

Can be made to work either way. I personally prefer two pumps as I run a herbie overflow and back pressure on the manifold screws it up.

Yea, I was thinking either way would be fine. Two pumps may better, but was considering just one, thinking it might be a little cleaner and less cluttered. Still up in the air about it. Ive never had one before , as I have just used maxi jets. A Sicce 5.0 (1321 gph) would be plenty for a 120 with 2 reactors right ? Thinking TLF reactors if they are big enough. Ive had them on smaller tanks.
