My first impression was same as yours, may be the two feet were the result of an injury. The tissues between the two feet is now having a small opening, both feet are on seperate objects, and they moving on opposite directions.
Only time would tell. The origional owner stated that it only had one foot when he first got it a year or so ago.
If healthy sooner or later it will complete splitting, in my case it took several months but is cool!
