I am looking for as much info on the Saddleback clownfish I can get. Stuff like what size they will be, how agressive they are, do they accept bubble tip anemone as a host, stuff like that. Pictures of your Saddlebacks are also helpfull.

Thanks again!

They can/will get fairly large (( an LFS has a pair that are a least 5 inches long, and really thick )), and can become fairly aggressive. I had a pair, about 10 years ago, they were hosted by an BTA ( E. Quadricolor )), and until about 2 months ago I had a pair of black ones that were hosted by an S. Haddoni

Back when I first got them,

And just the solo one

Thanks for the input,

Would you say that they are more or less agressive than Tomato, Cinnamon or Clarkii clownfish? I know it always depends on th eindividual fish, but i'm talking in general.

Also was your single saddleback less agressive than your pair?

Thanks for helping.

Never had a Tomato -- but they were about on par with my experiences with Cinnamons and Clarkii -- which would be mean little guys.

When the saddleback, pictured above, was by itself, it was a lot less aggressive and swam around with the other fish.

This an a very old thread, but I currently have a pair approximately the same sizes as the ones in the picture above and I was wondering if the larger one will become more aggrive to the smaller one once she's ready to breed or if the larger one is just that aggressive? The pair was made when the larger one was about 2 1/2" long and the other was a baby. The larger one just chases the little one around until she gets distracted but then they snuggle up. Thelarger one is like 3 1/2" and the smaller one is 1 1/2" now
