I would like to turn off my Streams/controller at night, so the only water movement is created by the return pump. Would if be bad for the streams/controller to be shut off ever night and turn back on in the morning ?
Only in that animals may enter and get killed/ break the propeller when the pump restarts. I think it is better to idle the pumps at 30% using night mode. Keep in mind the severe loss of flow at night will exaggerate any pH decline.
