Salifert Flat Worm Exit

I used it for the first time today, followed the instructions very carefully. It did rid myself of flatworms, had no idea there were so many in my system. Currently running carbon and did a 15g water change. My acans and favia look like crap right now, the sps are not showing polpys and my zoo's are just beginning to open again.

I'm wondering what else I can do besides wait to bring my tank back to where it was before dosing.

When flatworms die they will release a toxin that is bad for your system. They recommand that before dosing you try to vacumm out as many as you can.

More carbon, more water changes. That's about it.

Good call. Flatworms are immensly annoying, especially for new tanks, but depending on coral/fish life that's already present, I actually found out (much to my surprise) that most damsels love the taste of flatworms, at least my pair of yellowtail blue's gobbled 'em up.

Agree with the damsels eating the red aceol worms. I am 99.9% sure that my Clarkii clownfish are eating the worms. I moved some LR from a tank they were in which showed no visible signs of the worms to a new tank with no other additions and began to see the worms, then I moved the Clarkiis into another tank which also had them in less than a week no more worms.

Good stuff, glad to hear (it sounds like) the damsels did their job as well as they did for me. :)

Keep a close eye on the tank, I have used FWE twice and it worked wonders, however both times needed a second application to eradicate those disgusting little slimers

The world would be such a better place without flippin' flatworms...not just for us, but for everyone else...as they wouldn't have to listen to any reefers complaining about them day in day out. ;) :p
