Salinity monitor help

I have an older pinpoint salinity monitor. With a fresh battery it registers around zero. So my question is do the probes go bad? Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it toast.

Yes probes go bad.. I would take your monitor into your local shop and have them connect one of their probes to make sure your monitor is working..
