salinity

hey everybody - what's your ideal specific gravity? We ran between 1.023 and 1.024. Things seem to look a lot better since we have been keeping it above 1.025. The Red Sea salt instructions say that at around 80 degrees F, we should shoot for 1.020. That sounds ridiculous. What works best for you?

1.026 is the best you can get. SPS will look brighter and grow faster here. Just remember to raise the levels slowly over several hours or you will slow the grow of your corals for a few days. Topoff with saltwater rather than RO

What temperature do you keep with 1.026 sg? I'm still trying to resolve what I'm seeing in my tank (seemingly happier corals) with Red Sea's instructions of 1.020 at 80 degrees.
