salt for auto water change system

About to invest in a spectrapure litermeter 3 and I was wondering if there are any salts that can sit in storage without negetive side effects. red sea will precipitate and create brown funky build-up in the container. is there a high quality reef salt mix that doesn't have these issues?

ESV is the cleanest salt you can buy.

I store Red Sea Pro salt mix and don't have much precipitation as long as I mix it with cold water. I suspect any of the high calcim/alkalinity salts are going to precipitate a little during long term storage. I think you would have better luck with a lower calcium/alkalinity salt and just increasing your calcim/alkalinity supplements if you want a precipitation free storage tank, although I don't see that as much of a problem.

Also, over mixing the salt can create precipitation.
Check with the manufacturer on their ideal mix times.
I believe AquaVitro Salinity is 24 hrs. After that, I turn the pump off and I'm good for 1-2 weeks.
