Last cucumber I had stayed on the sand. I have two of these guys and they have not left the rock work. It appears to be filter feeding or trying to catch food in the water. Reef safe?

They were sold as Sand Sifting Cucumber, so I though they would be tigertails or the pink/black ones. Maybe they will make it down to the sand one of these days.
I'm no holothurian expert either, but it looks like the ones I used to find on the sand, near or associated with the reef. Did you place it on the sand to start or did it just stay on the rocks where you initially placed it?
I have another one that is yellow. Both were place on the sand in low flow. They both were on the rock within 5 minutes. I have a very large sand bed for them to roam, however they seem to be at home on the rocks..
