Sand dwelling Anemone that does well in ~ 1" of sand

My 40g mixed reef is just over a year old and I would really like to add an anemone. I have been keeping stony corals successfully for atleast 6 months so I am pretty sure the tank is ready. My issue is that my tank only has 1-1.5" of sand and while I would really like an LTA I've read that they prefer atleast 4 inches ... I do not want to put a tupperware container of sand in and place the anemone in it. Instead I'm looking for a nem that is better suited to my tank. Do sabae and Malu anemones need deep sand too? Open to any suggestions. tank details in my sig

+1 for sebae, I'd suggest a H. Malu for your tank as the H. Crispa get fairly large quickly...an LTA would have been very large in your tank as well.

I have an LTA and it has never dug itself into the sand, it just stays on top of the sand and chose to attach itself by the rocks/glass/sand. I also have BTA's that chose to stay on the bottom of the tank and they are usually not sand diggers.

All sand dwellars I'm aware of really should have a DSB.
Some may push this, but that may result in wandering.
Both Crispa and Malu are Sebae's, the Crispa seems to be what most just call a sebae, those get huge, mine was 2 feet in diameter, so I would not put that in a 40g breeder due to the fact it's going to touch/sting every coral in your tank.
Malu's are smaller, but I still would not do one in that shallow of a sand bed.

Looks like I'm not going to be adding an anemone after all. Don't love the looks of sabae's and it sounds like they get big and could be dangerous for my fish. My next tank is going to be a dedicated system for a Gig or Mag and I just wanted to get some anemone experience here
