that would not spit out the sand in water column ... ?

what can you guys advice me to get for a 180 G tank ? open rock work, so have alot of sand ...
[ yes, I am too lazy to siphon the SSB, I do disturb it weekly with a kent scraper though.]
thanks.

yea thanks. I have a couple of queen counch I think.

how about Gobies ? do they all spit out the sand everywhere ?

My diamond watchman goby sifts sand without making a mess. The golden head sleeper gobies are messy, as they tend to sift and swim higher in the water column as they sift the sand.

How about an Atlantic Sea Cucumber? They will not crash your tank if they die, and they won't make a mess either. This is the specific cucumber I'm referencing. I had 2 in my 180 Gallon, and 1 in a 29 gallon. The 1 in the 29 gallon died while I was away on a business trip, no detriment to the tank at all that I noticed.

The 2 in the 180 Gallon are churning right along. Great additions in my opinion.

hmmm ! that's very interesting ! I know how great they are at keeping sand crystal clear, but was always worried about them die on me and ...

thanks alot, I will ask my LFS to see if he can get these guys in.

They are cheap too! Only about $13ish online.

Don't get me wrong, they are ugly as sin. But I think it gives them character lol.

thanks, any experience with tiger watchman goby ? heard they keep their mouth close to the sand ? can you deny or confirm this?

thanks alot :)

My tiger goby does stay near the bottom. Ive only had him about 2 months but I havent seen him carry any sand up.

My 6-spot sleeper goby also stays on the bottom when he sifts. Unless he's impatient to get fed, then sometimes he'll sift & come up to the surface hoping for the turkey baster LOL.
