I can't believe that stuff is still in the boxes. Whenever I get a new toy in the mail, I stop whatever I'm doing and start tearing into the boxes.
Nothing's left in the boxes now, don't you worry! I have been waiting for the DC return pump to begin putting together all of the plumbing for my tank build. It was the first to get unwrapped. After getting a little loopy on PVC cleaner and glue, I took a break and started opening boxes and exploring.
must have been exciting to have all that stuff come at once
Better than Christmas, and even harder waiting... I ordered it Tuesday, it shipped Tuesday, and no matter how many times I checked the shipping tracker, it wouldn't get here any faster...
I have been thinking about upgrading my MHs to Kessils, let me know what you think of them
I also got a shipment from BRS today, some HC GFO
I sure will. I have been using Marineland LEDs on my 55 gallon and 30 gallon (if you look at the tank in my profile, that's what's on it.) The 30 gallon one blew up last month (well, after I dipped it in the tank when it was unplugged when I was cleaning the tank) and I replaced it with a Maxspect nano razor and the growth I have seen has been incredible. I went with the Kessils because my wife didn't want anything hung from the ceiling, and liked the pendant look of the Kessils.
I also got some HC GFO, and a Dual reactor! (gonna start cycling some rock here soon, and I'll be fighting the dreaded phosphates I think...)
Been thinking about going with the 360Ws also. Let us know how you like them.
I sure will. This is my first foray into serious LEDs, and also my first foray into controlled LEDs with a larger tank, so I will keep everyone up to date. I plan on cycling this one from the ground up, not bringing any rock over from either of my other tanks and being very careful with it. Hopefully I can get some tanks that look half as good as some that I see on here!
I hope to put up a build thread soon; the problem is my stand is so closed in, I can't really get a decent picture under it. It is a bowfront stand, and trying to get pictures of the plumbing or the sump is difficult at best.
