Sawfish

I spearfished yesterday. Pretty normal day till my buddy spotted something strange and called me over. He was easily distracted but the cobias but I saw what they were following and was shocked. I was a 12-15 ft sawfish, then I really got excited when it slowly swam to the bottom right next to the other two fully mature sawfish! It was one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen .I took a breath and dove to the bottom and was eye to eye with 3 sharks that most will never see. Also they were feeding an activity that I have heard has never been filmed in entirety in the wild. My go pro was not with me and I will always regret that but I just wanted to share!

That is awesome and I am extrememly jelouse. I've only seen part of an immature one in the glades. Thanks for sharing!

That is awesome! You should really report the sighting of these and info about the dive to the FWC. There is a lot of active research happening on these trying to understand more about them and your story could help out a lot. Here is a link if you're are intersted. I haven't had the pleasure to see one diving yet, but hope to someday.
