SCA 90 rimless...a mountain reef build.

Update time:

Got a fish and corals order in from L.A I got
Small yellow tank
Flame angle ( crossing my fingers it will be a model citizen )
Male Malanrus wrasse.
Everyone is going great. the new fish are a bit timid but that is to he expected.

As so got a yellow fiji leather it came in pretty bad.
Here is it right after acclimation to tank.

Before I got the new fish and yellow fiji I rescaped my tank I have not been happy with the aquascape and lots 2 gorgs as I did not attached to the LR :(

So I decided I wanted to go back to my desire of two islands looks.
I had to hake out one of my large pieces of TBS rock and the a hammer and chisel to it.
From one to 5 and some rubble for frags.
What I started with:

What I ended up with:

Not 100% sure the scape is done but trying not to mess with it and let the new fish settle in.

Here was a FTS before the rescape of the right side.
As you can see there are some gorgs thst need to be attached to the LR just waiting until I get the scape "right"

So I lost 2 fish my midas blenny and a small y. Tang. :( I found out I have a mantis shrimp about 2 to 3" that I blame for the deaths in one nignt.
No bodies where found.

Sorry to hear you lost those fish. How do you think the mantis shrimp made it into your tank? Have you spotted him out in the open yet?

Daniel,
sorry for the late replay. yeah I have seen it a few times under some rocks and while aquascaping. lso have a 1" + stone crab gotta get then guys outta there.

they came in on my LR from tampa bat saltwater. amazing rock but you may get some hitchhikers.

in other news I took advantage of KP's cyber Monday sale and got a few more gorgs and a nice sponge.
i;ll post pics one I get them in place.

Not is some new goodies over the black Friday sales.
Took advantage of kp half off shilling and pick up a few more gorgs. Two of with I am supper excited about. Both the yellow and red finger NPS gorgs.
And a few more.
Here is a quick pic.

That leather looked haggered from the get go, hope whoever you ordered from took care of you on that

Subscribed, this is the size tank I want, rimless as well. I am really glad to see one of the SC Aquariums in action, very nice. I to am interested in the controller you have mentioned in the thread. Great build by the way.

So yesterday I got in my lost pkg from dr. Foster and smith with my silicone cube tray.

I wanted to give this a try over just pouring it in a zip lock bag.
Only took 3 weeks to get here..

This is my 2nd attempt at DIY fish food.
My recipe for 70 cubes is:

1Cup mixed sea food. Shrimp, octopus, and 2 more..
1T. Pellet
Half a sheet Nori
Some RODI h20

Blind together.
It looks chunky in the pic as the bigger stuff in on top. I defrost in a shot glass if some chuck are to bit I hand feed to Rick nems, mini max, it trachy.

Simple and easy recipe. Still playing with it... might start to add spinach juice and garlic.

What do you think if you used a sheet of nori for backing on the cubes? I have the Dr Tims food making kit but I have not used it as of yet.
