Scallop vs shrimp

Which is more nutritious, higher protein, etc., diver scallops or raw shrimp from the grocery store? How much does it matter if the shrimp are FW or marine in origin?

Hmm, marine shrimp sure taste better than FW shrimp IMO!
I don't have any solid facts on this, but one observation.
When I feed my nem a raw shrimp, it takes it in, eats it.
When I give a piece of scallop, it devours it a good bit faster, noticeably to the point that is now mainly what I spot feed it.
Man, I am SO getting scallops for dinner tonight!(so is my Malu)

I've seen both FW shrimp at the store, and gulf shrimp. Are these just both brackish/estuary shrimp?

FW shrimp always taste mushy to me, don't even like them(yes, I know we are talking fish food, but I certainly taste the difference, so they are different)
Most shrimp that we eat are open ocean, not brackish.
For feeding our fish SW shrimp just feel more natural to me.

The grocery stores where I live only sell freswater shrimp that is raw & fresh.

I use both scalops & shrimp as staple foods so I believe feeeding both is better than one or the other.

As far as nems go my Malu has gotten huge since it has been getting nothing but NLS pellets for the last 4 months. It probably gets a few each day from the clowns racing into the nem & spitting out the pellet too big for the clown to eat.

The malu was a slow grower & had literally stopped growing over the last year or so. I used to occasionally feed it shrimp & scallops.
