Scarface Paly $$$$$$

Those are sweet! Don't know why everyone is supprised about the price. Weren't purple hornets going for like 2-300 a polyp when they came out? And imo these are a lot nicer looking. That said there's no way in hell id spend 2 weeks of pay on ANY coral lol.
 
Where are all of these "designer" strains coming from??? seems like there's a new hot zoa or paly every 6 months and then price drops as they become more widespread...
 
I think the Salty Critter had or has the same ones. Think their called Ding Dangs and they were selling for 39.00 to 69.00 depending on the size frag.
 
Ernie, they are not dingdangs. Actually not as nice looking. lol.

These seem to be pretty dull colored for top dollar zoas/palys, must be running outta new morphs to charge something stupid for. Atleast hornets didnt grow like a weed compared to most palys and have good solid color. I believe the hype will fade quickly with these ones.

imo There are way nicer palys for pennys compared to these "scarfaces".
 
wow what a bargan. Now I have a few things to sell.... talk about getting a little worked up on ebay!!!

You know the guy that buys them and watches them melt away will be pretty unhappy.

Yeah, your right the ones salty get are a lot nicer. They are gold and sparkeled and glow like no other! Reasonable price too! :)
 
Does anyone have a photo of the ones at Salty? What do they call them? I would love to add something like the scarface to my collection.

On a lighter note if I was the winning ebay bidder I would have a breathalizer installed on my computer to prevent another "under the influence" purchase... Imagine the beating this guy is gonna get from his wife/girlfriend.
 
I am pretty glad I haven't reached the point in this hobby where local trades and frag swaps are insufficient to satisfy my need for new things. I pretty much balk at $40 overnight shipping, and would much rather support local establishments and other hobbyists whenever possible.

That being said, I have no problem with ebay auctions and local pickups! :D

I dont have a pic myself but they ARE hawaiian ding dang pe's at Salty, just google them for a bunch of pics.
